Students are required by the Government Immigration Dept to have $250 per week to cover living costs and personal spending, including:

- accommodation
- food
- clothing
- entertainment
- transport
- international and domestic travel
- telephone
- incidental costs

However, living costs will vary by location, course and lifestyle based on individual circumstances. Perth offers one of the lowest living costs amongst all the states in Australia.
