Overseas investors – we can source lending products that include repayments in US or Hong Kong dollars (great for off shore employees being paid in these currencies) with extremely generous lending criteria. No income verification is required beyond an employer or accountant letter. |

Overseas investors – they need 20% equity in an existing Australian property or 20% deposit. They require an employer letter or accountant letter if self employed and no other income verification is required. Foreign Investment Review Board regulations require that overseas non-Australia citizens ONLY purchase brand new properties never lived in before for investment or owner occupied purposes. They can purchase vacant land but must commence construction within 12 months of purchase. There is ONE exception to this – non-citizen students studying at college/university may buy an established property as long as they themselves are living in it and they must not rent it out. They must sell such a property when they leave Australia. Ie it cannot be for investment purposes. |
