What are Guardian services?
A guardian could be called a surrogate parent they are
there to act on
the parents behalf regarding any issues in the school
or out of school
to look after the welfare and best interest of the student
at all times. The
Australian government ruling is that all students under
18 must
have a guardian who is approved by the education provider
and
themselves, this person has to have a Police Clearance
and be over
the age of 30.
The role of the guardian
is to address the needs of the students
i.e. be there for the student to offer guidance and
support on any issues whether it be related to the school
or personal.
The guardian is the career in the absence of the parents and in the event of a crisis or emergency, has the permission of the parent/s to attend to the welfare of the student.
