Boarding schools (A$7000-$10000 a year)
Many private secondary schools provide accommodation,
meals and laundry services for international students.
University accommodation (A$150-$250 per week)
Most universities offer
a variety of accommodation on or near to campus such
as university apartments, residential colleges or halls
of residence. Halls of Residence-cheaper and a popular
option with full-time international students. Residential
colleges-includes meals, library, computer access, sporting
and social facilities. It is usually for full-time students
and students are advised to apply early as these are
usually high in demand.
Homestay (A$170-$190 per week)
At Ultimate Studies Australia, we provide full services
for home stay arrangements.
What is Homestay?
Students live with a local family
during the course of study. Students are welcomed into
the home and accepted as a member of the family, participating
in all daily routines of the family. Inclusive of food
and electricity. (Mon-Fri breakfast and dinner, Sat &
Sun three meals)
What can
students gain from Homestay programs?
Students have the opportunity to live with an English-speaking
family where they have the opportunity to improve their
English. This is usually the preferred option for most
English Language students as learning the language also
involves learning about the people, culture and lifestyle.
Homestay is also a great way to make friends, learn
and experience the lifestyle in Australia.
